SACHED ARCHIVING PROJECTS

The SACHED Archiving Project seeks to consolidate the history and materials of SACHED so that the past can interact with the present to create the future of a fair and just society through education. The project aims to firmly ground these educational ideologies in the present. If you are an activist, academic, learner, community and worker organiser or educator, you will find learning and teaching resources.  You will find these teaching and learning materials under project headings and publications. The ideas and debates at SACHED are to be found throughout this website.

Archives

A principal aim of the SACHED Archiving Project has been to collect materials from ex-SACHED members to constitute an archive and make this material accessible to the public. This archive exists both at the Wits Historical Papers Research Archive and at the UWC Robben Island Mayibuye Archives. The archives contain books, magazines like Upbeat, teaching and learning materials, interviews, photographs and administrative documents. A large variety of the material has been digitised and is downloadable. Browse the inventories of the archives listed below.
